Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Perry Charcobeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naruto Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charcobeau comes into the arena with Fortunate Son blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charcobeau slaps away a takedown attempt from Sakuraba, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sakuraba scores with a nice strike.
Sakuraba throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sakuraba shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice uppercut there from Charcobeau.
Sakuraba looks to score with a jab to the body but Charcobeau is just out of range.
Charcobeau lands with a straight right. Sakuraba didn't see that one coming.
Sakuraba is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Charcobeau.
Charcobeau jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sakuraba fails with the takedown
and Charcobeau counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Perry Charcobeau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Naruto Sakuraba.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Charcobeau scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sakuraba content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sakuraba is keen to just control but Charcobeau is a slippery customer.
Charcobeau tries to get to full guard but Sakuraba has control of the leg.
Sakuraba is working for a submission of some sort.
Charcobeau is looking to control Sakuraba's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Charcobeau avoid being mounted?

Sakuraba thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Charcobeau wants to control but Sakuraba is keeping busy.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Naruto Sakuraba hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sakuraba throws a poor cross that misses
and Charcobeau counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Charcobeau connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Charcobeau is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Sakuraba misses with a right hand
and Charcobeau counters with a head kick that drops Sakuraba to the mat! Sakuraba scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Sakuraba is rocked!
Charcobeau circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Sakuraba to the canvas! Sakuraba doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Charcobeau keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
