Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Diego Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Almdudler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andreas Almdudler!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almdudler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Almdudler shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brandao manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Brandao working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Almdudler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Almdudler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Almdudler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Almdudler stands and throws Brandao's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Brandao takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Brandao manages to work his way to half guard, despite Almdudler's best efforts.

Almdudler looks up at the clock and then as Brandao takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Almdudler smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
