Vovchanchyn has chosen the game as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orlow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vovchanchyn.
Vovchanchyn throws a looping overhand right but Orlow ducks down to avoid it.
Orlow throws a head kick that half lands.
Vovchanchyn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Orlow was well out of range. Poor timing from Vovchanchyn.
Orlow thows a left - swing and a miss!
Orlow swings widly with a right hand
and Vovchanchyn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Orlow moves away from the strike by Vovchanchyn.

Vovchanchyn lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Orlow controls Vovchanchyn momentarily but Vovchanchyn frees himself.
Orlow utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Orlow wants to get back to his feet but Vovchanchyn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Vovchanchyn throws a big elbow that misses.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vovchanchyn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Orlow is on top in guard.
Vovchanchyn wants to stand but Orlow is controlling the position.

Vovchanchyn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Orlow is one step ahead there.
Vovchanchyn is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Orlow tries to free his leg and advance position but Vovchanchyn is retaining full guard.
Orlow postures up in Vovchanchyn's guard and throws a big left but Vovchanchyn blocks it.

Orlow avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Orlow seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nikolaj Orlow just wasn't active enough.
Vovchanchyn connects with a good right hand that stumbles Orlow. Orlow circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Vovchanchyn blocks the body kick.
Vovchanchyn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Orlow moves away.
Vovchanchyn chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Orlow can pounce on him.

Vovchanchyn scores with the left hand. Orlow knows he should have avoided that one.
Orlow's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vovchanchyn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Orlow scrambles back to his feet.

and Orlow counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Vovchanchyn tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Orlow connects with a good right hand that stumbles Vovchanchyn. Vovchanchyn circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Orlow looks to land a combination but Vovchanchyn avoids it well.
Vovchanchyn slips a straight right by Orlow.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vovchanchyn, as that shot connected.
Vovchanchyn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Orlow manages to avoid it.
Vovchanchyn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Orlow, as that shot connected.
Orlow swings for the body but Vovchanchyn moves out of range.
Vovchanchyn takes one on the chin but seems OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Wanderlei Vovchanchyn will probably get the nod.

Orlow on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Orlow throws a sloppy head kick and Vovchanchyn moves out of range easily.
Orlow lands with a nice body punch.
Orlow misses with a hook. Vovchanchyn ducked under it nicely.
Vovchanchyn throws a jab but it's blocked by Orlow.
Vovchanchyn looks to land a left hand but Orlow moved out of range nicely.
Orlow throws a head kick that Vovchanchyn semi-blocks.

Orlow lands a big head kick that sends Vovchanchyn tumbling to the mat! Orlow takes a step backwards and waves Vovchanchyn back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Vovchanchyn drops his hands momentarily and Orlow needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Vovchanchyn just on the top of the head. Vovchanchyn drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Vovchanchyn - he's done!
