Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lan Mandragoran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Ding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ding is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mortal Kombat. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mandragoran throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Dick Ding has been cut.
Mandragoran will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ding pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mandragoran back to the cage. Ding follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mandragoran fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ding on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ding misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mandragoran leaves Ding with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mandragoran lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ding's sensitive parts.
Ding scores with the left hand. Mandragoran knows he should have avoided that one.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mandragoran darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ding shoots in but Mandragoran avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mandragoran scores with a kick to the body.
Mandragoran throws a chopping leg kick but Ding manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mandragoran keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lan Mandragoran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dick Ding.

Ding slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Mandragoran is looking to reverse the position.
Ding in side control, throwing shots but Mandragoran defends.

Ding is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mandragoran is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ding goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mandragoran has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ding but great work by Mandragoran.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mandragoran takes a little break here. Ding wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Ding is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Ding looking for a sweep but Mandragoran has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Mandragoran tries to control but Ding wriggling away.
Ding wants to hold on but Mandragoran pushes him away.
Mandragoran controlling the pace for now.
Mandragoran's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Ding can't escape the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lan Mandragoran will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Dick Ding's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ding shoots for a takedown but Mandragoran saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mandragoran tries to bum rush Ding with a series of wild strikes but Ding uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mandragoran swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mandragoran throws a front kick aimed at Ding's knee but Ding avoids it well.
Nice sprawl there from Mandragoran as Ding shoots in.
Dick Ding is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mandragoran moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mandragoran leaves Ding with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ding throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mandragoran's waist but Mandragoran gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ding off to one side.

Ding stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mandragoran.

Ding ducks under a wild hook from Mandragoran.
Lan Mandragoran is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ding is breathing heavily.
Mandragoran throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mandragoran.
Mandragoran connects with a right hand. Ding shakes it off.
Ding fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ding checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Mandragoran scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Ding is rocked!

That has opened up Dick Ding's cut even more.
An inside leg kick lands from Mandragoran.

Mandragoran drops Ding with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ding looks back up at him and smiles so Mandragoran waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Ding is still on wobbly legs! Can Mandragoran finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ding on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mandragoran connects with a body shot.
Mandragoran fakes the body blow, causing Ding to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Ding goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
