PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Petrenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniels comes to the cage accompanied by Nas - Hate Me Now. Petrenko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bro Hymm/ Pennywise. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels cracks a nice hook into Petrenko's ribs.
Petrenko lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Daniels misses with a jab, cross combination.
Petrenko has a takedown stuffed.
Daniels throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Daniels lands a right hook to the body.
Daniels swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Daniels lands with a hook. Petrenko tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Daniels misses the jab.
Daniels lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Daniels misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Petrenko feints and as Daniels raises his hands in defense, Petrenko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Daniels is wriggling around but Petrenko manages to pass to half guard.

Petrenko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Daniels does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dmitry Petrenko hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Daniels rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Petrenko counters with a nice low kick that buckles Daniels's knee momentarily.
Daniels tries to bum rush Petrenko with a series of wild strikes but Petrenko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

No luck for Petrenko with that takedown attempt.
Daniels looks to land a combination. Petrenko sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Daniels throws a series of punches but Petrenko avoids them all with ease.

Petrenko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Daniels is just riding it out for now. Petrenko eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Daniels with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Petrenko to score with a decent uppercut.

Daniels takes a swing at Petrenko's ribcage but misses.
Daniels rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Petrenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Petrenko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Daniels.
Petrenko connects with an inside leg kick.
Daniels throws a looping overhand right but Petrenko ducks down to avoid it.
Jack Daniels is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Daniels misses with an uppercut. Petrenko saw that one coming.

Petrenko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Daniels tries to break free but Petrenko pushes him back against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Daniels will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Petrenko throws a front kick aimed at Daniels's knee but Daniels avoids it well.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Petrenko! Daniels is out on his feet! Petrenko rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Daniels is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Daniels is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dmitry Petrenko!
A relieved looking Dmitry Petrenko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
