Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Ochoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ochoa has chosen Ice Cube - I Rep That West as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Danny Ochoa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ochoa throws a wild body kick that Thompson sees coming a mile off.
Thompson shoots and misses
and Ochoa counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Ochoa throws a head kick but Thompson moves out of range.
Ochoa slips under a jab.

and Thompson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ochoa misses with a hook. Thompson ducked under it nicely.
Ochoa lands a head kick. Thompson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ochoa lands a glancing blow to the side of Thompson's head.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ochoa swings for the body but Thompson moves out of range.

Ochoa lands a jab to the nose.
Thompson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from Thompson are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Ochoa takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Thompson misses with the ground and pound.
Thompson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Thompson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

What's Ochoa going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Thompson wants to control but Ochoa is keeping him busy.

Ochoa regains half guard there - taking advantage of Thompson's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Thompson is pressing down on Ochoa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ochoa is holding on for now.
Thompson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ochoa's head.
Ochoa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Ochoa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thompson is working away from the top position though.
Thompson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ochoa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ochoa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ochoa is trying to keep Thompson in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Billy Thompson will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Thompson throws a leg kick but Ochoa sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ochoa misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ochoa throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Thompson's head.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Thompson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ochoa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ochoa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Thompson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ochoa throws a looping overhand right but Thompson ducks down to avoid it.
Ochoa throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ochoa pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Thompson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Thompson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Thompson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ochoa sprawls well. He's pushed Thompson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Thompson swings for the body but Ochoa moves out of range.

and Ochoa counters with an inside leg kick.
Ochoa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ochoa wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Thompson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ochoa keeps Thompson at a distance using the push kick.
Thompson thows a leg kick but Ochoa checks it
and Ochoa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

A nice leg kick lands there from Ochoa.
Ochoa throws a predictable looking body shot
and Thompson counters with a good low kick that Ochoa was not able to check.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ochoa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Oh Thompson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ochoa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Thompson seems to have got his legs back now.
Ochoa blocks a head kick by Thompson.
Billy Thompson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Thompson takes a swing at Ochoa's ribcage but misses.
Ochoa rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Thompson counters with a one-two to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Thompson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ochoa is fending him off so far but Thompson persists. Nope, Ochoa circles away and we're back to standing.
Thompson throws a right and a left that Ochoa avoids nicely.
A cross from Ochoa lands.
Thompson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Thompson throws a nice looking combination but Ochoa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ochoa dips to his left and cracks Thompson with an uppercut!
Danny Ochoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ochoa drops Thompson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Ochoa follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Ochoa!
Danny Ochoa was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
