The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Boa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Johnson is desperately trying to improve his position but Boa has a good base and remains in mount.
Boa jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Johnson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Johnson is trying to control Boa's posture but Boa avoids it.
Boa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Boa has hold of Johnson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Johnson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Boa cranks the arm and Johnson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Johnson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
