Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cael Shaughnessy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaughnessy comes to the cage accompanied by I Against I - Massive Attack & Mos Def. The crowd seem to be enjoying Oliver's choice of entrance music: Enter Sandman-Metallica. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shaughnessy's waist but Shaughnessy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oliver off to one side.
Oliver is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shaughnessy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Shaughnessy punishes Oliver's body with a nice straight punch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Oliver.
Cael Shaughnessy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Oliver.

Oliver is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Oliver wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cael Shaughnessy has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Oliver closes the distance and clinches up with Shaughnessy, looking for a takedown. Oliver pushes Shaughnessy against the cage but Shaughnessy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oliver closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shaughnessy quickly recovers to half guard.

Oliver drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shaughnessy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Oliver has Shaughnessy in his guard.

Shaughnessy stands and steps away. Oliver gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Oliver is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Shaughnessy lands a final crushing right hand to drop Oliver to the mat with a gruesome thud! Shaughnessy is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
