The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grupe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Grupe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Grupe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Williams looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Grupe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Williams sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Grupe takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Williams rushes Grupe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Grupe wants to break the clinch but can't.

Grupe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Williams lands with a nice body kick.
Grupe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Williams looks to land a body kick but Grupe moved away.

Williams closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Grupe did well to prevent Williams getting side control.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Grupe defends it well.

Grupe looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
Grupe tests Williams's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Williams gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Grupe gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
