Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fred Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Yellow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 2, fighting out of London, Fred Boyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tom Yellow!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyle lands a jab to Yellow's midsection.
Yellow throws a big shot that misses.
Boyle looks to land a combination. Yellow sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Boyle is defended easily by Yellow.
Yellow throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Boyle gets the takedown into side control.
Yellow tries to bench press Boyle off him but Boyle keeps the position.
Yellow struggling a bit here.
Yellow takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Boyle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boyle wants to control but Yellow is keeping him busy.
Yellow tries to improve position but can't.

Boyle remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boyle takes a little break here. Yellow wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

You can see the frustration on Boyle's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Yellow is trying to stick to Boyle's back but Boyle is turning into Yellow. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Yellow's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Boyle.

Boyle is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Boyle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Boyle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yellow is keeping the position for now.

Yellow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

and Yellow makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Boyle really felt that one!

Yellow lands a left and a right that send Boyle crashing to the mat, dazed. Yellow thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Fred Boyle has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yellow is looking to clinch.
Yellow throws a head kick but Boyle moves out of range.
Yellow misses with a head kick.
Boyle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boyle takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Tom Yellow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boyle steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yellow.

Yellow throws a push kick but Boyle slaps the foot to one side.
Yellow throws a looping overhand right but Boyle ducks down to avoid it.
Boyle takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Yellow counters with a nice leg kick.

Boyle shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boyle showed some decent athleticism there.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boyle is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Yellow throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boyle sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Boyle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yellow sprawls well. Yellow wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boyle gets slowly back to his feet.

Boyle on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
