The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop tried to score with a low kick but Torres checks it.
Torres thows a body shot but no joy.

Torres throws a lazy right hand but Bishop sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Torres lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bishop backwards.
Torres swings wildly with an uppercut but Bishop uses good head movement to avoid it.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bishop takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Bishop jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Torres walks away with a smile on his face. Bishop gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Torres had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bishop defends it easily.
Torres manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bishop manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Torres wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Bishop's closed guard. He's half up but Bishop has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Bishop pivots and extends the arm, Torres falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Bishop! Well done that man!
