Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Nicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zuese Zorro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Nicks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zuese Zorro!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicks throws a shot from downtown. Zorro moves away and avoids it.
Zorro fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Zorro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Zorro tries to free his leg and advance position but Nicks is retaining full guard.

Zorro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Nicks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zorro is one step ahead there.

Zorro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zorro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Nicks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zorro on the ground.
Nicks is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zorro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nicks looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nicks looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nicks!

Nicks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zorro is trying to improve his position.
Zorro manages to get back to half guard.
Zorro moves into full guard.
Zorro keeping moving, preventing Nicks from controlling successfully.

Zorro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nicks defends it easily.
Nicks trying to control the position from guard on top but Zorro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Zorro working for a triangle but Nicks defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Nicks has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Zorro to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nicks is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Zorro pulls down on the head and he's put Nicks to sleep! This one is all over!
