Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hayden Diggler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bear Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hayden Diggler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bear Stevenson!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diggler tries to keep at a distance but Stevenson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stevenson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Diggler is trying to push Stevenson away but Stevenson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Stevenson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Diggler has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Stevenson is trying to keep an underhook but Diggler manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Diggler throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Stevenson to regain full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stevenson holds on and takes a little breather.

Diggler postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stevenson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Diggler, into his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stevenson gets to his feet. Diggler looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A head kick by Diggler misses
and Diggler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Diggler misses with a double jab.
Stevenson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diggler moves away.

Diggler rushes Stevenson and presses him up against the cage.
Diggler wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Diggler takes an elbow to the temple.
Diggler is trying to force a seperation but Stevenson has the dominant position.
Stevenson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Diggler's defenses.
Diggler tries to circle away but Stevenson has him pinned against the cage.
Stevenson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diggler is trying to break free.
Diggler takes an elbow to the temple.
Stevenson lands a hook to the side of the head.
Stevenson just leaning against Diggler, taking a breather.
Stevenson receives a warning from the referee for stalling.

Stevenson pulls guard effortlessly.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diggler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Stevenson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Diggler's guard.
Diggler is breathing heavily.
Stevenson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stevenson advances to mount.

Stevenson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Diggler to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Diggler shrugs it off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
BOOM! Stevenson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Stevenson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Diggler is in a horrible position here. Stevenson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.


Diggler is rocked!

Oh Diggler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stevenson has hold of Diggler's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Diggler manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Diggler seems to have got his legs back now.
Stevenson controlling the position easily from mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stevenson lands a heavy elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bear Stevenson dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Stevenson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Diggler.
Diggler misses with the combination.
Stevenson scores with a head kick.

Stevenson rushes Diggler and presses him up against the cage.
Stevenson scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Stevenson jumps guard and drags Diggler to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Stevenson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Stevenson lands a head kick. Diggler smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Diggler misses with the combination.
Diggler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stevenson circles away quickly and effectively.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Diggler walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevenson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Diggler shoots in and gets a takedown into Stevenson's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stevenson is on top in guard.
Stevenson postures up in Diggler's guard and throws a big left but Diggler blocks it.
Stevenson controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stevenson passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Stevenson misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Stevenson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Stevenson lands a few punches from side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Let's hope that Stevenson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Stevenson scores with a couple of short elbows.
Stevenson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Stevenson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Diggler looks calm but he's in trouble here. Stevenson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Diggler is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Stevenson lets go of the hold and Diggler can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bear Stevenson!
