Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giordano Bruno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taka Hana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruno's entrance music is Preliator. A fine choice. Giordano Bruno could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Taka Hana's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Giordano Bruno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Taka Hana!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruno connects with a solid leg kick.
Bruno connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hana avoids the body shot from Bruno.
Hana misses with a looping left.
Bruno moves into range and connects with a jab.
Bruno cracks a nice hook into Hana's ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bruno smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Taka Hana has been cut.
Bruno feints and then cracks Hana's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hana down.
Hana looks winded!
Bruno digs a good hook to Hana's body.
Bruno throws a nice outside leg kick.
Bruno jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bruno buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bruno lands a big uppercut and Hana crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hana looks OK. Bruno waves Hana back to his feet!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hana changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bruno tries to avoid it but Hana manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bruno to the ground. Bruno escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hana takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bruno.
Good leg kick by Bruno there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bruno. That's going to slow Hana down.
Giordano Bruno is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bruno punishes Hana's body with a nice straight punch.
Giordano Bruno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hana on the wrong end of a nice jab.
That has opened up Taka Hana's cut even more.
Bruno comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hana doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hana's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Hana takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hana is rocked!
BOOM! Bruno lands a beautiful left hook that drops Hana. Hana tries to recover but Bruno is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Hana lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Giordano Bruno!
