The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amazon getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

It looks like Oscar Amazon has been cut.

Machida tries to clinch there but Amazon circles away.
Amazon walks into a stiff left hand from Machida.

Amazon rushes Machida and presses him up against the cage.
Amazon misses with a hook from the clinch.

Machida's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Machida throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Amazon attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Machida throws a left that rocks Amazon and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Machida dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Amazon regain composure!

Amazon tries to buck Machida off but Machida is having none of it.

Machida has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Machida closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Amazon! Machida dives in looking to finish! Amazon is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
