PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sevent Seagull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathers comes to the cage accompanied by Superman. Seagull comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Van Halen - Jump kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 3, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sevent Seagull!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mathers throws a poor cross that misses
and Seagull counters with an outside leg kick.
Mathers throws a lazy uppercut
and Seagull counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mathers's knee momentarily.
Mathers misses with a straight right.
Seagull throws a body kick that misses.
A shot to the liver by Mathers. Beautiful body shot.
Seagull moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Seagull gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Mathers checks a leg kick.
Seagull tries a head kick but it misses.
Mathers looks to land a left hand but Seagull moved out of range nicely.
Seagull sizes up Mathers with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd cheers as Seagull lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mathers doesn't seem phased though.
Mathers looks to score with a jab to the body but Seagull is just out of range.
Seagull fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mathers manages to avoid it.
Mathers misses with a lunging right hand
and Seagull counters with a stiff right hand.
Seagull connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Both fighters circling a little - Seagull finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Seagull scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Mathers checks a leg kick.
Mathers takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Seagull staying out of range there.
Seagull throws a body punch but Mathers moves out of range.
Good leg kick by Seagull there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Seagull moves out of range as Mathers strikes.
Mathers missing with a left hand there. Seagull was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Seagull connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mathers looks to land a right hand but Seagull moved out of range.
Sevent Seagull is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Seagull lands the left hand.
Marshall Mathers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Seagull. Mathers shrugs it off though.
Mathers moves out of range of the body kick.

Mathers fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Sevent Seagull has been cut.
A lazy left from Seagull finds it's target.
Seagull throws a leg kick that misses.
Mathers moves out of range as Seagull throws a body kick.
Seagull turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Seagull has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mathers finds it's way round the side to connect with Seagull's head.
Seagull fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mathers is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Mathers moves out of range of the body kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Mathers.
Mathers throws an off balance right hand
and Seagull counters with a nice body shot.
Seagull lands a nice hook to Mathers's body. Mathers takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Seagull thumps Mathers with a low kick.

Seagull tries to land a front kick but Mathers steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mathers is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Mathers lands with a hook. Seagull tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mathers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mathers fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Seagull buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A good leg kick by Seagull.
A punch lands to the side of Seagull 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Seagull is rocked!
Seagull is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Mathers rather than just go for the knockout.

Seagull is still on wobbly legs! Can Mathers finish him?
Mathers feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Seagull's calf.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Seagull takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Seagull on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mathers. Mathers obviously looking to wear him down.
Mathers is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Seagull hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Marshall Mathers very nearly forgot to thank 5th Round Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
