Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Skull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diablo Mephisto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Diablo Mephisto!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Mephisto. Those never looked like landing.

Skull drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Skull trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Skull working some strikes from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skull scoring with some ground and pound.
Skull with a flurry of punches that miss.
Skull stands up over Mephisto, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Skull throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mephisto preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Skull controls from within his opponent's guard.
Skull throws an elbow that misses. Mephisto uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Skull's guard. Nice move by Mephisto!
Skull is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Skull content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Skull seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mephisto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mephisto is looking to escape.
Skull perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Skull thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mephisto's head.
Skull seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mephisto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Anthony Skull.
Skull uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mephisto.

and Mephisto counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

It looks like Anthony Skull has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Skull shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Skull trying to control but Mephisto is working from the bottom.
Skull is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mephisto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Mephisto wants to get back to his feet but Skull is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Mephisto is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Skull lands a couple of elbows.
Mephisto keeping moving, preventing Skull from controlling successfully.
Mephisto utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Skull passes Mephisto's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Skull is looking to take a break and control but Mephisto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Skull wants to pass the guard but Mephisto is defending well.
Skull is trying to control the action in half guard but Mephisto is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Skull trying to mount his opponent but Mephisto defends it.
Skull working over Mephisto with some ground and pound. Mephisto looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Skull winds up and cracks Mephisto with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mephisto is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Skull scores with a couple of nice shots.

Skull is nestled in close to Mephisto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Skull missing with a left hand there. Mephisto was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mephisto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Skull takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Skull.
Skull misses with a body shot.
Skull bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mephisto's head backwards.
Mephisto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Skull throws a shot from downtown. Mephisto moves away and avoids it.
Skull is looking to land body kicks.
Mephisto swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Skull tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mephisto was well out of range. Poor timing from Skull.
Skull throws a chopping leg kick but Mephisto manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Skull looks to land a body kick but Mephisto moved away.
Diablo Mephisto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooh!!! Mephisto has knocked Skull down with a huge combo! Mephisto steps away and waves a wobbly Skull back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Skull is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mephisto throws an overhand right that drops Skull like a sack of potatoes! Mephisto dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
