Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keast Gaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Zummi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaard comes to the cage accompanied by Otto Brandenburg - Når en Sailor Går i Land. Zummi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Die.. Steve Zummi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Keast Gaard's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zummi catches Gaard with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gaard swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Zummi dodges the punch combination from Gaard.
Gaard tries to land a leg kick but Zummi saw it coming and moves away.
Gaard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zummi.
A swing and a miss from Zummi.
Gaard takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Gaard counters with a straight right hand.
Gaard feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Zummis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

enabling Zummi to counter with a crisp jab.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zummi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gaard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gaard goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gaard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Zummi swings for the body but Gaard moves out of range.
Gaard fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Zummi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gaard avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gaard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zummi circles away quickly and effectively.
Zummi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gaard counters with a stiff right hand.
Zummi connects with a crisp jab.

and Gaard makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Gaard uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Zummi.
Gaard moves out of range of the strikes.

A slow jab from Zummi misses its intended target.
Gaard displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zummi throws out the jab.
Gaard lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Steve Zummi has been cut.
Zummi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Steve Zummi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Gaard counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gaard uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Zummi.
Zummi looks to land a left hand but Gaard moved out of range nicely.

Gaard throws a series of punches but Zummi moves out of range.
Zummi throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Gaard counters with a three punch combo that has Zummi backing up. Zummi nods at Gaard to acknowledge the strikes.

Zummi is rocked!
Zummi might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Gaard counters with a HUGE slam that knocks Zummi out cold!!! When he eventually wakes up, that one's gunna hurt!

In his post fight interview, Keast Gaard started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
