The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taito scores with a jab to the head.
Summers looks to land a left hand but Taito moved out of range nicely.
Summers shoots for a double leg takedown but Taito sprawls well. He's pushed Summers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Taito just misses with a punch to the body.
Tyrell Summers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Summers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Taito sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Summers somewhat.
Summers throws a lazy uppercut

and Taito counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Taito.

Summers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taito trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Summers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Taito defends well.

Summers manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Taito must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Taito wants to pass the guard but Summers is keeping the position.
Taito passes Summers's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Summers is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Taito rolls with it to try and escape but Summers cranks on the arm and Taito is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
