Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tomcik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wright creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wright.
Wright is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tomcik dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wright. That did some damage!

Wright is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wright pulls Tomcik in close to prevent any damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Payton Wright was stalling too much, according to the referee.
