The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cliff gets tackled into the cage by Cerrone. Cerrone maintains the clinch.
Cliff lands with a right to the head.
Cliff lands a hook that snaps the head of Cerrone backwards.
Cerrone doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Cliff lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cerrone or not.
Cliff prevents the takedown attempt.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Cliff.
Cliff misses with the head strike.
Cerrone wants to stall.
Cliff tries a body shot but Cerrone blocks it.
Cliff lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A short uppercut from Cliff.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cliff.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cliff lands a nice uppercut.
Come on Cliff - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Cliff misses with the head strike.

Cerrone prevents a body shot from Cliff.
A left hand lands to the body for Cliff.

Cliff lands with a short shot to the head.

Cerrone lands a hook to the side of the head.
A nice left hand lands by Cliff.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Cliff.
Cerrone can't find room to land a body shot as Cliff controls the action.
Still in the clinch, Cliff scores with a nice short uppercut.

Cliff escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cerrone scores with a shot to the body.
Cliff jabs at Cerrone's body.
Cerrone throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cliff throws a body punch but Cerrone moves out of range.

Cerrone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cliff manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cliff pulls Cerrone in to control the position.
Cliff keeping full guard, as Cerrone tries to pass.
Cliff has Cerrone pulled in close to control his posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cerrone wants to control from the top but Cliff keeps moving.
Cerrone tries to free his leg and advance position but Cliff is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cerrone swings away with a body shot that misses
and Cliff counters with a right hand to the body.
Cliff cracks Cerrone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Cliff rushes Cerrone with punches - Cerrone moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Cerrone goes down! Cliff follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ziggy Cliff!
