PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Busy Signal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pejro Karesky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Signal comes into the arena with Busy Signal - Smoke Some High Grade blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Pejro Karesky enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Busy Signal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pejro Karesky!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Signal circles away from the clinch attempt
and Signal connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Karesky tries to grapple but his opponent circles

so Signal counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Signal advances position into side control!
Signal throws a strike aimed at the side of Karesky's head but Karesky avoids it well.
Signal controlling the position from side mount.
Signal throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Karesky works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Karesky wants to get back to his feet.

Signal is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Karesky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Signal.
Signal winds up and cracks Karesky with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Signal is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Signal throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Signal is looking for a kimura but Karesky is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Signal to get the leverage.
Signal is looking to advance position but Karesky won't allow it.
Signal content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Karesky can do anything to dispel that myth.
Signal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Karesky's head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Signal not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Signal seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Karesky does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Signal uses his free foot to push down on Karesky's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Karesky.
Signal lands a big shot there that rocks Karesky but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Signal lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Signal trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Signal looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Signal landing shots from mount.
Signal takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Signal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Signal connects with a bit shot that sees Karesky covering up! More strikes from Signal and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Signal is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Busy Signal!
After winning the bout, Busy Signal thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
