The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maynard thuds his right hand into Rave's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Maynard misses with a right hand
and Rave counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Maynard thinking.

Rave tries to score with a low kick but Maynard moves his leg out of the way.
Maynard throws a front kick aimed at Rave's knee but Rave avoids it well.
Maynard throws a nice looking combination but Rave bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Rave throws a shot from downtown. Maynard moves away and avoids it.
Maynard connects with a leg kick. Rave looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
