The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasmal throws a sloppy head kick
and Sobieski counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hasmal is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Nice takedown defense from Hasmal. No joy for Sobieski on that attempt.
Sobieski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sobieski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hasmal looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sobieski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sobieski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sobieski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sobieski tries to score with some ground and pound. Hasmal controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Sobieski swings around for an armbar but Hasmal sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sobieski's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
