Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eiji Kawashima!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Hopkins!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawashima looks to land a right hand but Hopkins moved out of range.
Hopkins is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kawashima avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kawashima keeps the fight on the outside.
Hopkins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hopkins blocks a head kick by Kawashima.

Hopkins has Kawashima up against the cage in a clinch.

Kawashima escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hopkins uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kawashima.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eiji Kawashima will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kawashima bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hopkins's guard.
Anthony Hopkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hopkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
