Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stuart Wray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Richard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard has chosen In Ashes They Shall Reap as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Stuart Wray!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stan Richard!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Richard checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Wray keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Richard.
The fighters circle momentarily. Richard darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wray swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Richard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Richard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Richard throws a strike but Wray rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Wray stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richard swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Richard is looking for a triangle but Wray pushes his legs off easily.

Wray tries to stand and escape but Richard is controlling the position.

Richard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wray circles away quickly and effectively.
Wray uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Richard has time to react.
Richard jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wray connects with a leg kick. Richard looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Stuart Wray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Richard misses with a takedown attempt - Wray sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Richard lands with a nice body punch.

Richard drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Wray had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Richard defends it easily.

Wray utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Richard looking to sit in guard and control but Wray gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Richard manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wray is looking to improve his position but Richard isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Poor strikes thrown by Richard there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That was a close round but I would say that Stuart Wray will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That kick from Wray tenderised Richard's leg. Richard is trying to keep his angry face on.
Wray tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Richard paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Richard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wray sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wray lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Richard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Richard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Richard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wray tries to avoid it but Richard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wray to the ground. Wray escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Stan Richard.
Well Richard has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
