Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hector Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabrera comes to the cage accompanied by Hector. Griffin has chosen The Claw as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabrera takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Cabrera avoids the head kick by Griffin.
Griffin lands with a kick to the ribs.

Griffin moves forwards but Cabrera connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Cabrera throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cabrera is in Griffin's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Griffin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cabrera - the referee stops the clock and Griffin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cabrera. Griffin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

It looks like Jason Griffin has been cut.

Griffin wants to clinch up but Cabrera keeps it at a distance.
Cabrera shoots for a takedown but Griffin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Cabrera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cabrera shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Griffin but Griffin pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Griffin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Cabrera dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Griffin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cabrera. That did some damage!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Griffin throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Cabrera misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Griffin counters with a body kick that stops Cabrera in his tracks momentarily.
Griffin throws out a leg kick but Cabrera moves out of range and Griffin only half commits.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jason Griffin will probably get the nod.

Griffin wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Cabrera's closed guard. He's half up but Cabrera has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Cabrera pivots and extends the arm, Griffin falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Cabrera! Well done that man!
