The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcdermott's waist but Mcdermott gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Koz off to one side.
Koz shoots in and drives through. Mcdermott sprawls well.
Koz shoots and misses
and Mcdermott cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Terry Mcdermott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Koz.
Mcdermott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Koz shoots for a takedown but Mcdermott saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Mcdermott uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mcdermott misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Koz walks straight into a right hand from Mcdermott - that's dropped him! Mcdermott jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Koz from any more punishment! Koz complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
