Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Diego Bermudez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ric Landeverde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Diego Bermudez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ric Landeverde!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bermudez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Landeverde closes the distance but Bermudez moves to the side

and Bermudez counters by clinching up.

Landeverde is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bermudez can't fight it off and eventually Landeverde manages to take the fight to the floor. Bermudez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Landeverde is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bermudez defends well.

Landeverde isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bermudez stacks Landeverde on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bermudez!

Landeverde has his foot on Bermudez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bermudez works his way back into a safe position though.
