Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mibbe Ribbler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronny Berntsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ribbler kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bad Religion - Los Angeles Is Burning. Berntsen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Crazy Lixx - Riot Avenue. Ronny Berntsen will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mibbe Ribbler!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronny Berntsen!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribbler fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Berntsen to the ground. Ribbler is now in Berntsen's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ribbler wants to pass the guard but Berntsen is keeping the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Berntsen has his foot on Ribbler's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ribbler works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Berntsen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ribbler manages to get himself to full guard.
Berntsen has gone for a leg lock! Ribbler slips out almost immediately though and dives into Berntsen's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ribbler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Berntsen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ribbler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ribbler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Berntsen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ribbler has managed to get both his arms back between Berntsen's legs - danger averted.
Ribbler sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Berntsen's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Ribbler is keen to just control but Berntsen is a slippery customer.
Ribbler wants to free his trapped foot but Berntsen is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Berntsen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Berntsen is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ribbler knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ribbler for a finish.

Berntsen goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Ribbler escapes and is now in half guard on top.

Berntsen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mibbe Ribbler dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Berntsen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ribbler pinned against the ropes. Ribbler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Berntsen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

and Ribbler counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Ronny Berntsen has been cut.
Berntsen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mibbe Ribbler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronny Berntsen.
Berntsen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ribbler's waist but Ribbler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Berntsen off to one side.
Berntsen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ribbler swivels and escapes.
Berntsen on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A big right from Ribbler misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Ribbler darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Berntsen is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ribbler clobbers Berntsen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Berntsen is still on wobbly legs! Can Ribbler finish him?

Ribbler throws an overhand right that drops Berntsen like a sack of potatoes! Ribbler dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
