The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharp lands a head shot.
Sakuraba misses with a double jab
and Sharp connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sharp misses with a few strikes there.
Sakuraba misses with a wild combination.

Sharp gets a double leg takedown into Sakuraba's guard.

Sharp is looking to work some ground and pound but Sakuraba has wrist control.

Sharp stands up over Sakuraba, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Sakuraba is looking for a sweep. Sharp is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sharp landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Sakuraba keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Sakuraba is in trouble now - Sharp has advanced to mount!
Sharp lands a big shot there that rocks Sakuraba but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Gouki Sakuraba has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sharp postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Sakuraba badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Sharp around the waist but Sharp pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Sharp is the winner by TKO! Sharp jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
