Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Drogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanislav Laitamo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laitamo has chosen Likanen Etelä: ADOD, Mc Rambo, Musta Jori & Serkku Toni - H.U.R.R.I as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drogo tries to clinch but Laitamo is having none of it.
Laitamo throws a shot from downtown. Drogo moves away and avoids it.
Drogo feints and then cracks Laitamo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Laitamo down.
Laitamo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Laitamo misses with a straight left.
Drogo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Drogo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Laitamo.

Stanislav Laitamo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laitamo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Drogo moves away.
Drogo misses with the combination.
Laitamo throws a sloppy head kick and Drogo moves out of range easily.

Laitamo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Laitamo misses with a hook. Drogo ducked under it nicely.
Drogo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Laitamo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Drogo counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Laitamo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Drogo moves out of range as Laitamo throws a body kick.
Drogo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Laitamo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Laitamo pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Drogo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Drogo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Drogo presses Laitamo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Drogo struggles to land a body shot inside as Laitamo controls his hands.
Laitamo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Drogo is keeping busy.
Drogo tries to work over Laitamo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Laitamo has had enough of the clinch but Drogo keeps him there for the moment.

Drogo throws a right and a left that Laitamo avoids nicely.

Laitamo throws a nice looking combination but Drogo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Laitamo lands with a hook. Drogo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Drogo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Laitamo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Laitamo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Drogo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Laitamo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Drogo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Laitamo's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A chopping leg kick lands by Drogo.
Drogo gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Laitamo counters with a three punch combo that has Drogo backing up. Drogo nods at Laitamo to acknowledge the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Laitamo lands with a big left! Drogo is wobbled badly! Laitamo comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Drogo to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
