Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Borovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rousimar Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Borovsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rousimar Palhares!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Borovsky shoots in looking for a takedown. Palhares tries to sprawl out of it but Borovsky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Palhares manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Palhares is trying hard to land a takedown here. Borovsky sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Borovsky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Palhares looks to land a right hand but Borovsky moved out of range.

Borovsky closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Palhares to the mat! Palhares manages to get full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Peter Borovsky.
Palhares shoots in looking for a takedown. Borovsky tries to sprawl out of it but Palhares keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Borovsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Borovsky shoots in for a double leg but Palhares sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Palhares feints and as Borovsky raises his hands in defense, Palhares changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Palhares stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Borovsky swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Borovsky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Palhares manages to get himself to full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Peter Borovsky wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Borovsky moves in looking to clinch but Palhares pushes him off.

Borovsky shoots in but no luck this time.

Borovsky looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Borovsky gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Borovsky has closed the distance and engaged Palhares in a clinch.
Borovsky is working for takedown but Palhares is calmly controlling the position for now.

Palhares wants the takedown. Borovsky is fighting it off but Palhares persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Borovsky's guard against the cage.

Borovsky is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Palhares defends well.
Palhares is looking to work some ground and pound but Borovsky has wrist control.

Palhares wants to pass the guard but Borovsky is keeping the position.

Borovsky has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Palhares tries to free his leg and advance position but Borovsky is retaining full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Peter Borovsky will probably get the nod.

Palhares manages to capitalize on a mistake by Borovsky to take his back!
Palhares slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
