Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Brona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago comes to the cage accompanied by -Frank Sinatra - . I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that DJ Brona was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brona throws a leg kick but Santiago checks it.
No luck for Brona with that takedown attempt.
Brona shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Santiago as he avoids it easily.
Santiago scores with a shot to the body.
Santiago fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brona.
Brona uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Santiago.
Brona throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Santiago's waist but Santiago gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brona off to one side.
Jorge Santiago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DJ Brona.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brona is pushing down on Santiago's leg trying to pass to half guard. Santiago is fighting to maintain full guard but Brona has managed to sneak the leg through.
Santiago might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Santiago wants to control but Brona is keeping busy.
Santiago is controlling Brona's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Brona is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Santiago sees it coming and defends easily.
Brona is looking for a kimura but Santiago is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brona to get the leverage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brona thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Santiago's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Santiago wants to get back to full guard.

Brona throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Santiago works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Brona in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jorge Santiago will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Santiago, right into the meat.

and Brona cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Brona avoids the body shot from Santiago.
DJ Brona is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Brona gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Santiago makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Brona really felt that one!

Brona shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Santiago is looking to wear down Brona with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Santiago cracks the inside of Brona's front leg.
Brona is breathing heavily.
Santiago lands a nice shot that snaps Brona's head back.
Santiago ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brona moves away.
Santiago dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brona. That did some damage!
Decent striking displayed by Santiago there.
Santiago comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Santiago throws the kick towards the body but Brona avoids it.
Brona shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Santiago pinned against the cage. Santiago gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Santiago walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Brona checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Santiago listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Santiago cracks Brona with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Brona falls to his knees and Santiago doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jorge Santiago!
Jorge Santiago decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
