Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cole Taggart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Turbitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Turbitt told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taggart throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Sam Turbitt has been cut.

Turbitt displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Taggart throws out the jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Taggart looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Taggart connects with a good right hand that stumbles Turbitt. Turbitt circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Taggart throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Turbitt.
Taggart is looking to slow Turbitt down with leg kicks.
Turbitt misses with a takedown
and Taggart counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Turbitt off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Taggart follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Turbitt was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Cole Taggart!
An out of breath Cole Taggart thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
