Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Lefebvre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Malice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Malice told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Lefebvre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malice shoots in and drives through. Lefebvre sprawls well.
Malice fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lefebvre avoids it really well and circles away.
Malice tries to clinch there but Lefebvre circles away.
Malice closes the distance and clinches up with Lefebvre, looking for a takedown. Malice pushes Lefebvre against the cage but Lefebvre circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Patrick Lefebvre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Malice.
Malice tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lefebvre looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lefebvre fails to land the takedown.
Lefebvre drives through with a takedown into Malice's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Lefebvre won't allow Malice to sweep him here.
Malice can't keep his opponent in guard - Lefebvre advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Malice is looking for a sweep. Lefebvre is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Malice has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lefebvre is working away from the top position though.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Malice scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lefebvre manages to mount him!

Lefebvre is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Malice can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lefebvre tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Lefebvre lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Malice is rocked!
Lefebvre unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Malice wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Lefebvre celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Patrick Lefebvre decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
