These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Bessmertin as he checks the leg kick.
A head kick from Pak lands but Bessmertin takes it in his stride.
Nice shot by Pak.
Donk. Pak catches Bessmertin right on the button with a cross.
Pak lands a left and a right that send Bessmertin crashing to the mat, dazed. Pak thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Bessmertin is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pak pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oh Bessmertin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pak throws a head kick but Bessmertin moves out of range.
Pak digs a good body shot into Bessmertin's ribs.
Pak scores with a shot to the body.
Pak looks to land a right hand but Bessmertin moved out of range.
Bessmertin switches off momentarily and Pak cracks him with a monster right hand! Bessmertin topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Pak dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Pak!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dae Jung Pak!
