Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Craig Clendennon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Suez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clendennon comes to the cage accompanied by LoFidelity Allstars - Battleflag. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craig Clendennon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Suez!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Suez avoids the body shot from Clendennon.
Clendennon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Clendennon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Suez counters by moving into the clinch.
Suez tries for a takedown. No joy.

Suez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Clendennon can't fight it off and eventually Suez manages to take the fight to the floor. Clendennon looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Suez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Clendennon is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Suez, into his guard.

Suez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Clendennon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suez on the ground.

Suez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Clendennon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Suez.

Suez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Clendennon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Clendennon wants to stand up but Suez is controlling the position.

Suez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Clendennon pulls his head out easily.

Clendennon misses with a head kick.
Suez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Clendennon tries to avoid it but Suez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Clendennon to the ground. Clendennon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Suez misses with a takedown attempt - Clendennon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Clendennon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Suez, pushing him back against the cage.

Suez jumps guard.

Suez throws his legs up looking for a submission but Clendennon uses it to pass to side control.

Clendennon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Suez to his feet.
Clendennon moves in looking to clinch but Suez pushes him off.
Suez lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Clendennon throws a predictable looking body shot

and Suez moves into the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Suez's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Suez has picked Clendennon up - he's going for a ride! Suez dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Suez is trying to work for a kimura but Clendennon is defending well.

Suez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Suez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Clendennon defends it well.

Suez is working for a submission of some sort.

Suez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Clendennon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Suez manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Rafael Suez will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Suez throws a series of punches but Clendennon avoids them all with ease.

Suez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Suez lands in his opponent's guard.

Suez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Clendennon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Suez has Clendennon in his guard.
Clendennon stays in close to Suez's body and controls the position.
Clendennon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Suez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Suez is trying to keep Clendennon in close.
Craig Clendennon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Suez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Clendennon stacks Suez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Clendennon!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Clendennon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Suez is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Rafael Suez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Clendennon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Clendennon wants it to stay on the feet.
Suez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Clendennon counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Clendennon counters with a head kick that drops Suez to the mat! Suez scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Suez shoots in but no luck this time.

And that's the end of the fight!
Craig Clendennon showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Suez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
