Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Giovani Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ilya On!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro throws a nice outside leg kick.
On avoids the body shot from Castro.
On looks to land a combination but Castro avoids it well.
No joy there for On, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Castro throws a shot from downtown. On moves away and avoids it.
On stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Castro.
On misses with a few strikes there.
On is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Castro throws a quick head kick that skims the top of On's head.
Castro lands with a kick to the ribs.
Castro slips a jab from On.
Castro chopping away at his opponent's legs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
On misses with a wild combination.
Castro swings for the body but On moves out of range.
On misses with a hook.
Castro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
On misses with a series of wild punches.
Castro swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Castro scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ilya On seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castro pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
On swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from On misses the target.
On lands a nice shot that snaps Castro's head back.
Castro is looking to wear down On with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
On takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A big left from Castro misses.
On throws a right and a left that Castro avoids nicely.

On tries to keep at a distance but Castro has taken the fight into the clinch.

Castro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Castro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Castro lands a knee to the head.
Castro is pressed up against the cage. On has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Castro down to the mat. Castro avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
On looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

On is rocked!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
On bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
On is still on wobbly legs! Can Castro finish him?
On stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Castro.
On looks winded!
A big right from On misses.
Castro misses with a hook.
Castro drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks On right on the button. On goes down! Castro follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Castro gets the win via TKO!

In his post fight interview, Giovani Castro started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
