The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Gold.

It looks like Sergei Zaitsev has been cut.
Zaitsev stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gold.
A telegraphed right hand from Zaitsev misses the target.
Gold moves out of range as Zaitsev strikes.
A left lands for Gold.
Gold lands a nice leg kick that just misses Zaitsev's sensitive parts.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gold. That's going to slow Zaitsev down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zaitsev closes the distance and clinches up with Gold, looking for a takedown. Zaitsev pushes Gold against the cage but Gold circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gold lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Zaitsev is breathing heavily.

Gold lands a big head kick that sends Zaitsev tumbling to the mat! Gold takes a step backwards and waves Zaitsev back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Gold is looking to slow Zaitsev down with leg kicks.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gold. That's going to slow Zaitsev down.
Gold throws a front kick that sends Zaitsev stumbling back into the cage.
Zaitsev stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gold.

Whack! Gold lands a heavy head kick that drops Zaitsev. The ref tackles Gold to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Zaitsev was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Gilbert Gold!
A relieved looking Gilbert Gold thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
