PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kong Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Frito Lei has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Frito Lei seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po misses with a takedown attempt
and Lei counters with a head kick.
Po gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lei counters by moving into the clinch.

Lei's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Po fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Lei throws a head kick but Po moves out of range.
Po fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Frito Lei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kong Po.

Lei rushes Po and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Po drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Po shoots in for a takedown but Lei shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lei dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Po. That did some damage!

Lei closes the distance and pushes Po back into the cage.

Horrible takedown by Po or perhaps it was just good defense by Lei which made him look bad.
Po looks for a takedown but Lei sprawls well.
Lei keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Lei counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Po closes the distance and clinches up with Lei, looking for a takedown. Po pushes Lei against the cage but Lei circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Po is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lei to keep the fight standing.
Lei lands with a light punch inside.

Lei throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lei stuffs the takedown.

Lei moves into the clinch successfully.
Po is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lei gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Lei lands a nice uppercut.
Knees in the clinch landing for Lei.

Lei gets through Po's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Still in the clinch, Lei scores with a nice short uppercut.

Lei escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lei misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Po is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lei is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Po.

Po shoots in for a takedown but Lei shows good takedown defense.

and Lei counters with a leg kick.
Lei throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Lei fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Po to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Po looks to clinch but Lei throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Po taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
