The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assun throws a body kick that misses.
Hyypia just misses with a punch to the body.
Assun throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Assun stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Assun wants it to stay on the feet.
Assun thows a body shot but no joy.
Assun misses with a low kick.
Hyypia takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Assun throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A jab from Assun misses.
Hyypia blocks a leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hyypia.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head kick by Assun misses
and Hyypia counters with a series of strikes. Assun will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hyypia lands a slapping body shot.
Assun throws a leg kick
and Hyypia counters with a one-two to the body.
Assun tries to land a leg kick but Hyypia saw it coming and moves away.
A head kick misses from Assun.
Assun looks winded!

Assun has his foot on Hyypia's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hyypia works his way back into a safe position though.
Assun has momentary wrist control but Hyypia slips an elbow through the middle.

Assun is rocked!
Hyypia passes into half guard.

Hyypia seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Assun is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
