Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toby Le Rone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zachery Rey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Le Rone might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Let The Bodies Hit The Floor - Drowning Pool. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toby Le Rone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Zachery Rey!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rey scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
A nice combination there by Rey.
Rey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Le Rone swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rey checks a low kick from Le Rone.
Rey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Le Rone.
Le Rone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Le Rone takes the fight into the clinch.
Rey throws a punch but it's blocked by Le Rone.
Le Rone on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rey lands a hook that snaps the head of Le Rone backwards.
Le Rone swings wildly with an uppercut but Rey uses good head movement to avoid it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rey creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Rey swings wildly with an uppercut but Le Rone uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rey stalling in the clinch but Le Rone improves position.

Le Rone walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rey checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
No joy there for Rey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Toby Le Rone will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Le Rone shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Rey connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Nice body punch from Rey.
A bone on bone clash there as Rey blocks the leg kick.
Le Rone sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Le Rone takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Le Rone has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Nice uppercut lands for Rey. That snapped Le Rone's head back.
The fighters circling - Le Rone throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rey cracks Le Rone with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Le Rone misses with a looping left.
Rey throws a hook to the side of Le Rone's head but Le Rone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A combination from Rey does no damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Le Rone takes a swing at Rey's ribcage but misses.
Rey misses with a body kick.
Le Rone misses with an uppercut. Rey saw that one coming.
Rey needs to keep his hands up - Le Rone had a free shot at his head there.
Le Rone turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rey will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Le Rone tries to keep at a distance but Rey has taken the fight into the clinch.

Le Rone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Le Rone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Le Rone is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rey pulls his head out easily.

Rey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Le Rone does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Rey seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
