Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuraimo Rassi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartman comes to the cage accompanied by Santana Ft Everlast - Put Your Lights On. Rassi has chosen Damian Marley - It Was Written as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eric Cartman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Samuraimo Rassi!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rassi throws an overhand right that lands on Cartman's shoulder, as Cartman tries to avoid the shot.
Cartman thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rassi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cartman.
Rassi closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Cartman takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cartman.
Rassi tries to clinch up but Cartman circles away and keeps his distance.
Rassi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Rassi throws a shot to the body.

Cartman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rassi sprawls well initially but Cartman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cartman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rassi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Cartman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rassi's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Rassi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Rassi is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cartman has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Rassi is trying to control Cartman's posture but Cartman avoids it.
Cartman tries to advance to mount but can't.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Cartman misses with the ground and pound.
Rassi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cartman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Cartman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rassi is looking for a sweep.
Rassi is pushing Cartman's head away, looking to escape. Cartman manages to hold on to the position though.
Rassi avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Cartman.

Cartman lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Rassi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rassi.

Rassi takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rassi moves to clinch but Cartman breaks away
and Cartman counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Cartman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rassi as he jumps to the side.

Cartman throws a body punch but Rassi moves out of range.
Cartman misses with a wild combination.
Samuraimo Rassi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cartman fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Cartman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rassi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Donk. Rassi catches Cartman right on the button with a cross.
Rassi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cartman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Cartman wants to get back to striking at distance but Rassi won't allow it.

Cartman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rassi manages to avoid it.

We're going to have a standup here because Eric Cartman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Cartman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rassi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Cartman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rassi's waist but Rassi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cartman off to one side.

and Cartman counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Cartman shoots in looking for a takedown but Rassi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cartman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Samuraimo Rassi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cartman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
