PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Rad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rad's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Liberation Frequency. Silva comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Victory kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Daniel Silva is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyle Rad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rad thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Silva if he has to take too many more of those.
Silva blocks a head kick by Rad.
Rad catches Silva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Silva on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rad to score with a decent uppercut.
Rad lands a nice hook to Silva's body. Silva takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rad scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rad gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A shot in the inside from Rad.
A short uppercut from Rad.

Silva has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rad clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rad manages to reverse the position and now he's in Silva's guard. Nice work there by Rad.
Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rad wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Rad wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Rad prevents Silva from getting back to his feet.
Rad looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kyle Rad has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Rad takes the fight into the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rad.

Silva has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rad is trying to keep an underhook but Silva manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Silva prevents Rad from improving his position.
Rad moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Rad is controlling Silva's posture.
Rad trying to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rad working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Silva has passed into half guard!
Silva tries to stand and escape but Rad is controlling the position.
Rad regains full guard. Nicely done.

Rad looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.
Rad wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva tries to stand but Rad is controlling from the bottom.

Rad has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rad has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rad.

Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Rad get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
An inside leg kick lands from Rad.
Rad moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Rad blocks a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Rad dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Silva blocks a head kick by Rad.
Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rad throws a nice head kick!
Daniel Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rad tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.
Rad fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Silva has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rad lands a brutal head kick. Silva looks out on his feet and Rad throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Kyle Rad!
Our winner, Kyle Rad, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
