These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocket throws a right and a left that Banana avoids nicely.
Rocket throws an off balance right hand
and Banana counters with a thumping low kick.
Rocket misses with a series of wild punches.
Rocket throws a shot from downtown. Banana moves away and avoids it.
Rocket cracks Banana with an open hand slap.
Rocket throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Banana pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rocket is out of range and Banana settles back down.
Rocket misses with a hook
and Banana counters with a nice leg kick.
Rocket scores with a hook.
Banana will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Rocket goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Rocket throws a sloppy head kick and Banana moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Banana is looking to clinch but Rocket is avoiding it.
Rocket misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rocket pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Banana avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rocket sizes up Banana with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Rocket misses with a double jab
and Banana counters with an outside leg kick.
Rocket checks the leg kick.
Banana tries to clinch up but Rocket circles away and keeps his distance.
Rocket lands a front kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rocket drops Banana with a beautiful combination! Banana stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rocket is looking for the KO!
It looks like Ana Banana has been cut.
Giovanni Rocket seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Banana with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rocket to score with a decent uppercut.
Banana is rocked!
Rocket swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oh Banana is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
BOOM! Rocket lands a beautiful left hook that drops Banana. Banana tries to recover but Rocket is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Banana lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Giovanni Rocket!
