The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in but Fireplug avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fireplug is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Fireplug circles away and we're back to standing.

Fireplug working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fireplug is looking for a triangle here but Johnson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The fighters are battling for position here. Johnson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Johnson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Barrett Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fireplug can't escape the position.
Johnson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fireplug's face.


The cut above Joey Fireplug's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joey Fireplug's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Barrett Johnson!
An out of breath Barrett Johnson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
