Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Ferrigno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Ferrigno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Collins!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrigno throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Collins.
Collins throws a hook but Ferrigno blocks it.
Ferrigno looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Collins throws a hook to the side of Ferrigno's head but Ferrigno sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ferrigno cracks Collins with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Collins looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ferrigno finish him?


Collins is rocked!


It looks like Fred Collins has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
No joy there for Ferrigno, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ferrigno shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Collins is still in real trouble! Can Ferrigno finish him?
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ferrigno trying to pass the guard but Collins defending well.
Collins seems to have recovered his senses.

Ferrigno is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Collins defends it well.

Ferrigno is working for an americana but Collins has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Ferrigno was thinking about the submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferrigno drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Collins manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ferrigno has Collins in his guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Collins throws a big elbow that misses.

Ferrigno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Collins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ferrigno is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ferrigno will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Collins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Ferrigno looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ferrigno lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Collins!

Ferrigno can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Collins is looking to escape.

Ferrigno swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Collins is now in Ferrigno's guard. A big mistake from Ferrigno there, giving up the dominant position!

Collins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ferrigno had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Collins defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Collins throws a big right hand that misses.

Ferrigno is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Collins landing with the ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ferrigno is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Ferrigno looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ferrigno is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ferrigno bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Collins's guard.

Ferrigno is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lou Ferrigno dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Fred Collins's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Collins looks to throw the jab but Ferrigno is out of range.
Lou Ferrigno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooh!!! Ferrigno has knocked Collins down with a huge combo! Ferrigno steps away and waves a wobbly Collins back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Collins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No luck for Ferrigno with that takedown attempt.
Ferrigno shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ferrigno rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Collins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Collins looks to score with a jab to the body but Ferrigno is just out of range.
Collins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ferrigno was well out of range. Poor timing from Collins.
Ferrigno closes the distance and clinches up with Collins, looking for a takedown. Ferrigno pushes Collins against the cage but Collins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lou Ferrigno. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Collins throws a hook to the side of Ferrigno's head but Ferrigno sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sloppy strikes from Collins. Those never looked like landing.

Ferrigno feints and as Collins raises his hands in defense, Ferrigno changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Collins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferrigno. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ferrigno is pushing down on Collins's leg trying to pass to half guard. Collins is fighting to maintain full guard but Ferrigno has managed to sneak the leg through.
Collins wants to get back to his feet.
Ferrigno seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Collins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ferrigno is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ferrigno is trying to control the action in half guard but Collins is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Collins is trying to stand.
Ferrigno passes to side control.
Ferrigno wants to control but Collins is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ferrigno thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ferrigno wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Collins, who protects the arm well.

Ferrigno is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Collins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Ferrigno working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Ferrigno is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Collins looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ferrigno gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Collins is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ferrigno lets go of the hold and Collins can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lou Ferrigno!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Lou Ferrigno waved his t-shirt featuring Ultra Fight Gear's logo in front of the cameras.
