Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Goran Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Spat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 41 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Goran Schwarzeneg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 22 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Spat!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spat gets caught napping as Schwarzeneg dives in and scores a takedown. Spat manages to retain guard.
Spat is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Spat wants to sweep here but Schwarzeneg controlling him for the moment.
Schwarzeneg prevents Spat from getting back to his feet.
Schwarzeneg might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jack Spat wasn't active enough on the ground.
Schwarzeneg displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Spat.

Spat looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schwarzeneg is fending him off so far but Spat persists. Nope, Schwarzeneg circles away and we're back to standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spat is looking to pass into half guard but Schwarzeneg pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Schwarzeneg is in guard.

Spat working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schwarzeneg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schwarzeneg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Spat looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Spat has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Schwarzeneg has passed into side control.
Spat tries to bench press Schwarzeneg off him but Schwarzeneg keeps the position.
Spat sneaks back into half guard.
Spat is pressing down on Schwarzeneg's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Spat pulls Schwarzeneg in close to prevent any damage.

Spat manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Schwarzeneg manages to get himself to full guard.
Spat wants to pass the guard but Schwarzeneg is keeping the position.
Schwarzeneg keeping moving, preventing Spat from controlling successfully.
Spat keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Schwarzeneg's head.
Spat trying to control but Schwarzeneg is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Schwarzeneg is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Spat postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Schwarzeneg shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spat pinned against the cage. Spat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Schwarzeneg tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Spat counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Schwarzeneg is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Spat.


It looks like Goran Schwarzeneg has been cut.

and Spat counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Schwarzeneg's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spat controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Spat pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schwarzeneg is keeping the position for now.
Spat seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Still in the clinch, Spat scores with a nice short uppercut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Schwarzeneg is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Spat is defending well.
Spat works on Schwarzeneg's body with a couple of short punches.

Spat drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Spat stands and throws Schwarzeneg's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Schwarzeneg is trying to drag Spat to the mat but Spat just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Schwarzeneg is looking to clinch.
Schwarzeneg stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Schwarzeneg wants it to stay on the feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Schwarzeneg moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Spat counters with a shoot takedown. Schwarzeneg fights it but they end up in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Spat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Spat has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Spat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jack Spat hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jack Spat comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Spat has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
