The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cutter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Maivia.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Maivia looks for a takedown but Cutter sprawls well.

Cutter lands a big head kick that sends Maivia tumbling to the mat! Cutter takes a step backwards and waves Maivia back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Maivia is rocked!

It looks like Rocky Maivia has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maivia fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Syd Cutter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocky Maivia.

Cutter gets a clinch.
Cutter lands an elbow inside.
Maivia wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Still in the clinch, Cutter scores with a nice short uppercut.
Maivia takes an elbow to the temple.
Maivia is still on wobbly legs! Can Cutter finish him?
Cutter has Maivia pressed against the cage. He pushes Maivia back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Cutter throws a beautiful elbow that sends Maivia crashing to the floor! Cutter piles on the pressure with more strikes! Maivia is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
